Gil is a shareholder and CEO at Value & Risk. He is in charge of executive management as well as the operating valuation business.

Before joining Value & Risk in 2009, Gil had been working for leading financial institutions and consulting firms for a period of 12 years. He holds a BBA in finance and an MBA in strategic management. Gil is a renowned and highly experienced expert in the valuation of highly complex and structured products and has implemented highly complex projects.

Karsten founded Value & Risk in 1996 and is a shareholder and managing partner. His competence comprises the strategic development of Value & Risk. Before founding Value & Risk, Karsten was head of risk controlling and derivatives trading at Dresdner Bank.

Jens joined Value & Risk in 2010 as chief analyst after working for over 25 years as a manager in investment banking. He is a shareholder and member of the board of directors. Jens is responsible for the financial analysis team and is one of the most senior valuation experts in Europe. Jens is also a lecturer at FOM University and is a publicly appointed and sworn judicial assessor for securities and derivatives.

Charles has recently joined Value & Risk as Partner and Managing Director of Value & Risk Luxembourg

Before joining Value & Risk, Charles had been working for 19 years for EY Luxembourg as an Audit Partner specialized in Banking & Capital Markets and Private Equity.

He has also been working for 2 years as CFO and co-Director of a Family Office in Luxembourg. Charles holds a Master’s degree in Management and is a Chartered Accountant.

Tom joined V&R in 2012 as our chief quant after working for world leading financial institutions. He holds a PhD in mathematics and is a renowned expert in the valuation of highly complex financial instruments. Tom is supervising our quant team and is responsible for our internally developed quantitative library and infrastructure.

John joined V&R in 2010 and has a master's degree in quantitative finance. John is working as a senior quant and is responsible for the development of our financial library and infrastructure. He is a renowned expert in the valuation of highly complex financial instruments.

Vera joined V&R in 2011 after completing her diploma in industrial engineering. Vera holds a CQF and is working as a senior quant responsible for the development of V&R’s own valuation library, processes, and interfaces. She is an expert in the valuation of highly complex financial instruments

Sebastian joined V&R in 2013 after completing his diploma in mathematics. He holds a CQF and is working as a senior quant responsible for the development of V&R’s own valuation library, processes, and interfaces. He is an expert in the valuation of highly complex financial instruments.

Oliver joined V&R in 2022. He holds a master's degree in business informatics. Before joining V&R, Oliver was working as a software developer, data scientist and portfolio manager for renowned firms. Oliver is working as a senior quant and is mainly responsible for the development of the V&R valuation library, database, processes, interfaces and infrastructure.

Daniel joined V&R in 2023 after working for some of the most renowned asset managers in Europe. Daniel holds a master's in mathematics and is an expert in the valuation of highly complex financial instruments. As part of our quant team, Daniel is responsible for the development of our financial library and IT landscape.

Christian joined V&R in 2010 as a senior financial engineer. After graduating from Bielefeld University with a diploma in business, he worked for international investment banks in the structured products department. He is also a certified financial risk manager (FRM) and certified European financial analyst (CEFA).

Thanh-Mai joined V&R in 2016 after completing her master's degree in economics. She is a senior financial engineer and is responsible for the valuation of highly complex financial instruments from all asset classes and for first-line customer support and in-depth queries.

Stefan joined V&R in 2010 after completing an MA in economics and politics. Stefan holds a CQF and is working as a senior financial engineer and as a project manager.  As a financial engineer, he is responsible for the valuation of multidimensional financial instruments from all asset classes, for first-line customer support and in-depth queries. As a project manager, Stefan is responsible for onboarding new customers and coordinating the process within V&R.

Marina joined V&R in 2007 working as a financial engineer. Since 2009, she has been head of operations, overseeing the operational side of the daily valuation processes, as well as customer support. Since 2021, Marina has been head of the financial analysis department. She holds a diploma in financial mathematics and is experienced in both the quantitative field and financial engineering.

Björn joined V&R in 2018 and is the deputy head of the financial analysis group, he is also responsible for the organization of the team. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and has a master's degree in money and finance. Björn is an expert in the valuation of structured and highly complex financial investments and specializes, in particular, in the valuation of debt, equity, infrastructure, and alternative investments.

Monja joined V&R in 2022. Prior to this she was working as an analyst for one of the Big-Four auditing firms and for a leading investment fund company. Monja has a master's degree in banking and finance and is an expert in the valuation of highly complex financial investments, especially private debt, real estate and infrastructure.

Christian joined V&R in 2022. Previously, he worked as a manager for one of the Big-Four accounting firms and in the CFO office of an industrial company. Christian holds a PhD in finance and banking and is an expert in the valuation of highly complex financial assets, in particular, private equity, private debt and infrastructure. He is also a certified valuation analyst (CVA) charterholder.

Yun joined V&R in 2013 and works as a senior financial analyst. He is a CFA charterholder and has a PhD in finance. In addition, he has been awarded the CFA Institute certificate in ESG investing. Yun is an expert in the valuation of highly complex and structured financial investments, especially debt, equity, real estate and infrastructure.

Maya joined V&R in 2014 after achieving a master's degree in business administration with a specialty in finance and accounting. Maya is working as a senior financial analyst and specializes in the in-depth valuation of highly structured financial investments, mainly equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure.

Olga joined V&R in 2015 after completing her master's degree in money and finance. She is working as a senior financial analyst and specializes in the in-depth valuation of highly structured financial investments, mainly private equity, private debt and infrastructure.

Mira joined V&R in 2021. Prior to this Mira was working as a valuation analyst. She has a master's degree in international finance. Mira is responsible for the valuation of complex financial instruments, especially debt, equity, real estate and infrastructure.

Reiner joined V&R in 2008 after completing a diploma in business administration. Reiner is working in our analyst team and is also our first line IT infrastructure support. Reiner has more than 15 years of experience in the financial sector.

Christina joined V&R in 2023 and is working as a pre-sales manager.

Martina joined V&R in 1996 and is responsible for office management and administration.

Heidrun joined V&R in 2000 and is responsible for office management and administration.
